Working increasingly with CEOs, executives and entrepreneurs, the former journalist and media relations executive says this area of law chose her. ‘I had a resonance with it. It is fast-moving and the stakes are often very high, so for all those reasons it made sense.’ She’s a much-needed cool head, not least because in the tender space of reputation she understands how vital a measured response is. ‘When a client sees something in black and white that’s wrong — especially within social media —that may be very upsetting,’ she points out. ‘They may want to do something about it immediately. That may not always be prudent. Helping a client understand when and how to make that call is an important part of our job.’
