‘There are many factors at play in diagnosis,’ says Dr McIver, director of Sloane Medical Practice in Knightsbridge. ‘How well you know someone is a key diagnostic tool; people come to us because they know us.’ Roughly 75 per cent of McIver’s patients are regulars or repeat visitors.
Has has worked in a range of hospital departments including paediatrics and cardiology. He enjoys the variety and particularly people-centric role of a general practitioner, and he is currently club doctor to the Oriental Club near Bond Street.
