Chris Jones is a lover of challenges. The founder of the Richmondbased property buying firm, who has over 20 years’ experience in the industry, sees new opportunities emerge from the uncertainty in the London market. ‘It’s helped to strengthen the case for independent buying advice,’ he says. ‘This is a time where good buying agents can demonstrate their expertise and secure the best value for clients.’ It’s a refreshing approach that his diverse international and domestic clientele loves. A specialist adviser to movers and shakers of the worlds of financial services, sports and the arts, Jones has noticed that transactions are becoming more costly, resulting in a longer-term view on property investment. But this doesn’t mean clients are hasty either, as there is a greater demand for value than ever. ‘The importance of upfront due diligence has been magnified,’ says Jones, with some choosing to wait and rent before taking the plunge. He welcomes the cautious approach buyers now have, and explains that Warnerheath has supplemented its core privateclient services with new management propositions, while maintaining its well-known ‘forensic’ attention to detail. ‘We realise that without the client, we have no business… so we try to be as agile as possible in meeting their requirements.’ ‘This includes far more post-sale work too,’ he adds. Jones’s passions outside work include an enthusiasm for cricket and charitable activities, with which he fills his spare time.
