‘We have worked on some of the most interesting and valuable collector car transactions ever during the last 12 months,’ says partner Damen Bennion, who specialises in the non-contentious side of Goodman Derrick’s long established car collector practice. In 2016, Goodman Derrick documented close to £200 million of transactions, a number they are on track to exceed in 2017. ‘It’s a reflection of the continued flight to quality and the rude health of the very top end of the collector car market,’ explains Bennion. As the collector market continues to mature, clients are increasingly concerned about title and authenticity. ‘Thankfully these are areas in which we have great expertise,’ says Bennion, whose practice is global.
