Very few can boast of protecting ‘100 out of the remaining 600 Stradivarius instruments left in the world’: but David Foster, managing director of the niche private client insurance provider, certainly can. Lark provided cover for a £1.2 million Stradivarius stolen in 2010 — which, happily, was recovered three years later. Foster calls his practice ‘a one-stop-shop for HNWs and UHNWs’, covering everything from multiple-home needs to yachts. That ensures a dizzying array of personal insurance tasks arrive at his desk: business development, staff development, performance reports, management and personalised client affairs. That might sound stressful, but Foster enjoys it very much.
