Few employment lawyers understand the world of the City quite as well as Elaine Aarons, one of the ‘founding mothers’ of this field. More than 95 per cent of her clientele are senior executives from FTSE 100 & 250 constituents,major banks, hedge funds and financial services boutiques, so she is no stranger to eight- or nine-figure bonus claims. Aarons is also an expert in handling private equity houses and private equity-backed businesses, a fraught area. A highlight of 2017 has been her team’s ability to achieve ‘impressive outcomes’ in whistleblowing cases.
