Frederick Windsor’s six-year stint at J.P. Morgan Private Bank’s LA office, advising celebrities in the entertainment world, was his most memorable experience. Early days in a film financing firm meant he had a grounding of knowledge of their industry when he joined. Now dealing with entrepreneurial clients, he is thankful for the firm’s positive outlook on mobility — a result of its global presence and reach. It was a crucial step up the private banking ladder: ‘Being able to develop a book of clients overseas was a tremendous education and a good foundation for doing the same thing here.’ The private bank is ‘culturally different’ from many in the industry, he says, because private client service is not a mere ‘add-on’.
