Harry Thorburn, the head of Mirabaud’s UK private wealth management business, is pleased with the asset growth so far as a result of the ‘high-quality services and solutions’ to clients. ‘We are continuing to see a good level of interest from a broad crosssection of the high-net-worth market, including families and entrepreneurs,’ he says. Thorburn is proud of the firm’s calibre. ‘Mirabaud is not somewhere bankers come to cut their teeth with a year or two of experience,’ he has said. ‘Bankers come here when they’ve got significant experience and have formed great relationships with clients.’ Thorburn trained as a chartered accountant and worked at PwC before joining Barclays then Mirabaud.
