With a grandmother and great aunt who competed in and won Badminton and Burghley, Izzy Taylor comes from good riding stock. Her mother also represented the country and converted Taylor’s father to riding through hunting, a passion Taylor shares. After a nasty fall in which she fractured and displaced three vertebrae, it was hunting that allowed her to recover her fitness, bond with the horse again and regain her confidence. She set up her own yard in 2006, and has since been selling and buying horses for ownership as well as eventing at a national and international level. She has competed in the World Class Elite Performance Squad, had three horses on the World Class Equine Pathway and was selected to compete at Rio.
