An international, family-run gallery and advisory service, the Richard Green team operates out of Bond Street. With Jonathan Green now CEO, they are a true Mayfair institution, specialising in high quality painting from the 17th century up until the middle of the 20th for four generations. Business is booming: they’ve added two Tefaf NY shows to their already rich events calendar of international art fairs. The gallery has sold some exquisite paintings, such as Caspar Netscher’s 1666 painting Young Woman Feeding a Parrot to the National Gallery of Art in Washington DC. ‘The market has been generally steady and robust,’ says Green. ‘There were short-term uncertainties… but the strength of the US dollar has been very welcome.
