ARRCC, based in Cape Town, South Africa, is an international interior design company that specialises in luxury residential, hospitality and leisure interiors. They believe that homes should be inspirational spaces, carefully crafted to reflect the taste, lifestyle and personality of their clients. ‘ARRCC is known for getting to the heart of their clients’ initial briefs, and distilling and transforming their thoughts and ideas so the finished product is something wonderful and unexpected,’ says Mark Rielly, a director at the firm. Under Reilly’s creative design leadership, ARRCC has gained an international reputation for producing exclusive interiors, from Paris, Moscow, London and Geneva to Cape Town. Rielly joined SAOTA, ARRCC’s sister company, as an Architect in 1997 and was instrumental in setting up ARRCC. In 2004, he was made a partner. For two consecutive years he has been a finalist in the Andrew Martin Interior Designer of the Year Award. ‘Some of our early clients actually came to South Africa and rented the houses we designed, they wanted to replicate the experience of that, and so came to us to help them achieve the same vibe for their own properties.’ Rielly has created cutting edge interior spaces for a huge spectrum of design briefs, including the domestic, hospitality, retail, corporate and leisure sectors. ‘We believe in life-enhancing spaces that reflect both client and location, and through our refined approach to design, have developed a style focused on detail and substance,’ he says. ‘We create elegant interiors that are modern, luxurious and seductive while remaining understated and timeless.’ ARRCC specialises in luxury residential, hospitality and leisure interiors. ‘Having completed a number of luxury residential projects for this client, which include homes in Paris, Dakar, Geneva and Cape Town, the Barcelona Apartment is one of our favourite projects. The design is a blend of African influences combined with contemporary design. The interior has an Afro-contemporary feel which captures ARRCC’s global style and is focussed on detail and substance. This project was also featured as a finalist in the Andrew Martin Interior Designer of the Year award,’ he adds. ARRCC seem to have a design language that resonates with clients. ‘Our designs are a lot more contemporary than other designers out there,’ says Reilly. ‘Also, the outdoor lifestyle in South Africa gives us a great base to understand client’s needs in different climates.’ They have just finished their fifth project in Australia and are about to start our fifth project in Singapore. Whether you need help creating a functional space plan, rearranging existing pieces, designing the inside of a new home, or simply sourcing amazing furniture and decor, seeking the help of professional interior designers and decorators in South Africa is a must.
