Neil Moles joined Progeny Wealth back in 2004, and with 12 years in technical and advisory roles under his belt, led a management buyout in 2008 and became Managing Director. ‘What’s so unique about the firm,’ he says, ‘is that we have access to specialist advisers across a wide range of private client fields — succession planning, tax mitigation, trust structuring as well as will and estate planning — it’s all under the umbrella of Progeny.’ For the client, this means having a close relationship with only one professional (such as himself), and only one fee. ‘It saves everyone time, worry and money’, he says. Moles’ current focus is developing and delivering the strategy of the business, and his ambition is to create one of the most respected advisory firms in the country. He’s well on his way: the firm’s comprehensive business set-up, with its unique combination of wealth management and legal advice, is proving extremely popular. Moles calculates that ‘our client base has increased seven-fold over the last year’. After a number of company buy-outs, Progeny now have significant wealth advisory resources in London as well as the north of England. ‘This enables us to better serve individuals, families and corporates based in the UK with assets and bases outside the UK,’ he enthuses. Moles also prides himself on always being available to clients. ‘I’m the kind of person who will be looking for a place to charge my laptop on a beach,’ he says.
