No list of top criminal practitioners would be complete without Stephen Pollard, who has more than 25 years’ experience in a range of crime litigation. He has been active on some flagship crime cases: he represented the former Barings trader Nick Leeson in the Singaporean prosecution following the collapse of the bank, and Vincent chenguiz in his successful challenge to the SFO investigation relating to the collapse of Kaupthing bank. At present, Pollard is representing a number of individuals in the SFO/DOJ Libor and FX investigations. He also has clients in the SFO investigations into ENRC, Alstom, Serco, Petrofac, and in the Rolls-Royce alleged corruption case. Pollard declined to comment for this profile.
