Private Members Clubs

The venerable Arts Club, founded by Charles Dickens in 1863, runs one of the most dynamic rosters of events for members in the capital. Despite the weight of its illustrious past, this is a club with a distinctly contemporary ethos. ‘I don’t think there’s anywhere else in Mayfair clubs where you’d find four buzzing floors of bars and restaurants, a large garden, an unrivalled live music programme in the nightclub, comfortable accommodation, and a quarterlychanging series of art exhibitions showcasing both emerging and established talent from around the globe,’ says executive director Alice Chadwyck Healey. ‘We bring together characters from across the arts, both artists and patrons, in a stimulating environment where they can meet, exchange ideas and be entertained.’
