Although he considers London to be the ‘capital of the world’, family man Zingraf would never leave the Côte d’Azur for it. ‘[People are] smiling a little more than perhaps London or Paris.’ However, thanks to considerable growth in his business during the past three decades he’s having to tear himself away from home more often, as he oversees the global expansion of a property sales empire that is now an affiliate of Christie’s International Real Estate. He tells Spear’s he’s just got back from a tour of Barcelona, Stockholm and Mykonos. Business is certainly good: he gets 250 offers a year which turn into sales of 80 properties — including a number of the highest-end palaces at more than €100 million each — and a selection of exquisite yachts.
