Clark marks 25 years in the industry with a new venture, leaving Sandaire a year after its merger with Lord North Street. She speaks to Spear’s from California, where she’s doing field work, looking at opportunities for a stateside family office catering for the tech boom (see page 30). Her approach is measured and considerate in finding the right clients. ‘Working with local families is usually the best way to go,’ she says, ‘so we’re in discussion in that regard.’ She’s learnt from Sandaire’s emphasis on reconnaissance, mentioning its use of the Wigmore Association of global family offices to inform investment decisions: ‘If you’re based in Brazil, you have a far better perspective on opportunities in Latin America than Sandaire would in London.’
