Anna Worwood’s most memorable experience in her legal career is being selected (‘after several beauty parades with other solicitors’) as the international family lawyer to work with a UNHW entrepreneur in relation to his divorce and children matters. Several years later, the client invited Worwood to his birthday party in Ibiza – an experience she describes as ‘unforgettable’.
A partner in the private wealth sector of Penningtons Manches, Worwood specialises in all areas of family law, particularly HNW financial cases and complex private law children cases. Having joined Manches as an assistant solicitor in 2001, working initially with some ‘outstanding mentors’, including Jane Craig, William Massey and Richard Sax, Worwood became a partner of the firm in 2005, and then a partner of Penningtons Manches in 2013 when the two firms joined forces. She’s well known for her experience and expertise in international relocation cases.
The last financial year was an exceptional one for the firm as a whole, and for the family team specifically. The family department’s fee income grew significantly, by 12 per cent, and the department was involved in numerous UHNW complex financial cases, as well as many challenging international children cases.
