It’s a good time for colour in 2018, as the design industry has noticed bold palettes are ‘trumping safe greys’. For insight into this aesthetic revolution, look no further than ‘Colour Rebel’ Viki Lander herself – she earned the moniker from Grand Designs magazine for her dramatic designs. Her refurbishment of a seven-floor Highgate house made each room appear to be an individual artwork in itself. Lander also has a penchant for undergarden basements and roof lights. She has backup in husband Mike Lander’s management skills and Philip Rogerson’s architectural lead. ‘A lot of people worry that interior designers will force their designs on them – we place our clients at the heart of our solutions,’ she says.
