Lying close to the coast of the colonial city of Granada, Isleta El Espino’s private island eco-lodge first opened its doors in 2015. Guests can choose from five guest rooms, each with a private deck and lake view, mosquito nets, closet safe, ceiling fans, private bathrooms and hot water showers. The lodge also features a swimming pool, yoga platform, kayaks, spa services, and comes with intimate bar and dining options. ‘We are minutes from the centre of Granada and an array of activities including hiking, boating, riding, dining, shopping, and exploration,’ they say. Putting sustainability and its eco-credentials front and centre, Isleta El Espino is also completely off-grid, with all its power coming courtesy of the sun.
