Located in the Eastern Cape of South Africa, the 54,000-acre Kwandwe Private Game Reserve is home to hundreds of species of wildlife, including the Big Five and others officially endangered. Privacy is assured, the reserve’s 22 individually decorated rooms split between two majestic safari villas and two game lodges. Renowned safari guides and culinary offerings are highlights, with an airstrip and Kwandwe’s ‘voluntourism’ programme (the Countess of Wessex is its royal patron) completing the set. Guests can enjoy the scenery and diversity of the surrounding wildlife from its private four-by-four safari vehicle, helped all the while by a dedicated ranger and host, personal chef and butler.
