Nestled between Mount Kenya and the Aberdare Mountains, this grand safari lodge opened in 2010. Kenya’s most successful private rhino-breeding project finds its home here (it’s not uncommon for guests to see up to 40 of the endangered animals at a time), and the experience promises to be as vast as it is exclusive, with up to 19,000 acres of conservancy land, along with a further 45,000 acres of ranch land to roam. Its five contemporary cottages are appointed with private sun decks and panoramic views of Mount Kenya in the distance. Meanwhile, the camp’s massage therapists help guests relax, with off-camp activities including horse-riding and helicopter rides around the summit of Mount Kenya.
